Queen Helmet Shells

Queen Helmet Shells

Queen helmet shells wholesale from 3 inches up to 8 inches.  Queen helmets, Cassis madagascariensis, is a species of very large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cassidae, the helmet shells and bonnet shells.  Queen helmets occurs in the tropical Western Atlantic. The specific name "madagascarensis" literally means "of Madagascar", but this was a misunderstanding of the type locality by the original author.  Shells of Cassis madagascariensis are used in jewellery to make cameos.  Queen helmets are large shells with a oval face and rich deep brown tones.  They make perfect accents in seashell décor.

You will receive queen helmet shells that look similar to those pictured.  No 2 will be identical.  They will vary in size, shape and coloring.  These are real shells - NOT replicas.  They will have natural imperfections -- small chips on edges, scratches, scars, blemishes, etc.
