Case of Wholesale tiger cowrie shells, Cypraea tigris, measure between approximately 2-1/2 inches and 3 inches in size and are from Africa.   Polished cowrie shells are prized by shell collectors and used in seashell decor by displaying them in baskets and glass containers. The tiger cowrie is a familiar shell to many people. This very common Indo Pacific reef species is exported to the U.S. and Europe for the tourist trade.
