Product Details

Two natural red abalone shells, commercial grade with natural imperfections, both measuring approximately 6 inches wide. The shell is large, thick, and dome-shaped. It is usually a brick red color externally. Typically the shell has three or four oval holes or respiratory pores. These holes collectively make up what is known as the selenizone which form as the shell grows. The inside of the shell is strongly iridescent and has a large central muscle.    

Review all photos carefully as you are buying the 2 natural red abalone shells pictured. These are nice shells, but are NOT perfect. These natural red abalone shells will have natural imperfections such as; worm holes or pock marks, chipped edges, etc., from living in the oceans and aging.
