Ivory for carving and wholesale ivory from warthog tusk and hippo tusk. Ivory for carving and wholesale ivory is available from warthog tusks or warthog ivory and hippo tusk or hippo ivory imported from Africa. Warthog tusks, warthog ivory, hippo ivory and hippo tusk are types of ivory for carving and are used for making ivory knife handles, ivory jewelry, ivory carvings, ivory scrimshaw, and ivory handles for walking canes. We sell wholesale ivory from hippo tusk and warthog tusk by the pound and by the individual tusk and in bulk lots. African warthog tusk and hippo tusk are measured around the curve of the tusk. The small size warthog tusks measures up to 6 inches around the curve of the tusk; medium size measures between 6 and 8 inches around the curve of the warthog's tusk and the large measures 9 inches and up around the curve of the warthog tusk. We also sell an assortment of sizes by the pound.
Warthogs got their names from the bumps on their faces that look like warts. They also each have four tusks, two on each side of their snouts. The upper tusks are longer and curve toward each other. Warthogs are pigs that live in Africa south of the Sahara.
All our wholesale ivory are by-products of the African government's culling program. The African government removes animals from areas because of over population, starvation or disease. Warthog Tusks and Hippo Tusks are measured around the curve of the tusks using a cloth tape measure. These tusks are from wild animals and will have natural imperfections caused by aging and living in the wild.
