We carry Bull, Black Tip and Tiger shark jaws hand selected and photographed. The tiger shark (Galeocerdo cuvier) is one of the ocean's largest and most powerful apex predators, recognized by the distinctive dark vertical stripes on its body that resemble a tiger's pattern. They have a uniquely broad, flat head with a conspicuously blunt, wedge-shaped snout. The bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is a large, stocky predator known for its blunt, rounded snout and aggressive nature. It is uniquely distinguished by its ability to thrive in both saltwater and freshwater. Typically pale to dark gray on their back (dorsal side) and white on their belly (ventral side). Young bull sharks often have black-tipped fins that fade with age. The black tip shark (Carcharhinus limbatus) is a sleek, medium-sized predator know for its energetic behavior and distinctive fin makings, they have a stout, torpedo-shaped body with a long, pointed snout and relatively small eyes. It is often confused with its close relative the blacktip reef shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus), though they inhabit different regions and environments. The U.S Fish and Wildlife Department and U.S Customs have cleared these for legal entry into the U.S.
All of our shark jaws were obtained from the Taiwan fishing industry and was harvested for food and are not protected or endangered.
This is a real shark jaw and will have imperfections such as cuts or scrapes on the cartilage area, some missing or broken teeth, some small holes in the cartilage and there may be an odor from the cleaning and whitening agents used.
