Enhance your oddities shop, gothic decor collection, or educational displays with our ethically sourced, wholesale preserved C.Sphinx bat (Cynopterus sphinx) hanging face down wings folded, commonly known as the greater short-nosed fruit bat. Imported directly from the lush regions of Indonesia, each real bat specimen measures approximately 6 to 6-1/2 inches long and comes equipped with a pre-attached thread for effortless hanging and display. The specimen is pinned or positioned with its ventral (belly) side down, allowing a clear view of its back, ears, and structural features. They have a prominent, dog-like snout, silky brown-to-grey fur, and distinctive white edges along their ears and wing bones. Known as "nature's forest engineers," they are unique because they chew palm fronds and vines to build tent-like shelters for their colonies.
Please note that with all dried specimens, there will be a temporary odor from the preservative used upon opening. This is completely normal and will quickly subside once the specimen is aired out in a well-ventilated space.
