Looking for a unique, natural addition to your inventory? Our ethically sourced North American Opossum Tails are perfect for crafters, oddity collectors, educators, and artisans alike.  Ranging from 7 to 12 inches long, each tail showcase the fascinating texture and color variations of this unique marsupial.  Tails are measured accurately along their curve using a flexible cloth tape measure. Did you know the opossum tail is a powerful survival tool?  Their tails function like a fifth limb, allowing the to grasp branches while climbing and carry twigs, leaves, and materials back to their nests.  Opossums rely heavily on their tails for stability and balance as they navigate tree branches and fences.  While juvenile opossums can briefly hang upside down by their tails, adults grow to heavy for this, using them strictly for gripping and stability instead.

Because these are real, natural items, no two tails are identical.  You will receive an item similar in quality and size to the ones pictured.
