Lower split warthog tusks, (all of these tusk are split and some may have drill holes) measuring between approximately 3 inches and 8 inches measured around the curve of the tusk using a cloth tape measure -- NOT straight with a wood ruler.  The lower warthog tusks are much thinner and sharper than the upper tusks.  -Review all photos. Warthog tusks and warthog ivory is used for making knife handles, carving, making warthog handles for walking canes and for numerous taxidermy craft projects. Warthogs got their names from the bumps on their faces that look like warts. They also each have four tusks, two on each side of their snouts. The upper tusks are longer and curve toward each other. Warthogs are pigs that live in Africa south of the Sahara.
