Wholesale white common egg cowrie shells, Ovula ovum, measure approximately 1-7/8 inches to 2-7/8 inches in length.  These shiny white cowrie shells are used in making seashell Christmas ornaments, shell characters, shell mirrors, wreaths and also put in shell baskets and glass containers.  These white shiny shells are also perfect shells for seashell weddings.  The egg shells, family Ovulidae,  are false cowries that live in close association with colonial animals such as soft corals, seafans and sponges.  The soft mantle usually covers the egg shell.  Most species are found in the Indo-Pacific oceans.
