Two piece lot of King Helmet Shells measuring approximately 7 inches. Review photos. The helmet creature uses its radular teeth and acidic secretions to drill a hole into the shell of the urchin and digest the soft parts within. They live in shallow waters, with most of the shell buried below the surface of the sand. The larger helmets build a shield to help them glide along the sandy sea bottom and feed on members of the sea urchin family.

All our seashells are commercial grade and are real.  They will have natural imperfections from aging and living in the ocean. They may have surface cracks, chips on edges, tiny holes, cuts, broken tips, calcium build up, scratches, blemishes and scars.
