2 piece lot of Phillippine Crowned Baler Melon (Melo aethiopica), measuring approximately 10 inches, is a large sea snail in the family Volutidae, the Volute. These large crowned baler melon shells are imported from the Philippines and because of their wide mouth opening, are used in making floral displays.  They vary in color from orange to peach to dark tan-orange. Some of these shells will have a tag on them "Made in the Phillipines". These tags are required by the U.S. Customs Department. All products imported into the U.S. must have a country of origin label. These are REAL shells and our supplier uses generic tags to meet the Customs requirements.
